![]() The manager was also at the front desk, still wearing the same old gray t-shirt he'd been in the night before. When I checked out, the young woman at the front desk was, again, friendly, professional, and in a Motel 6 uniform shirt. I was so put off by how insulting & unprofessional the whole exchange was that I checked out the next morning. I then told him, a bit warmly in all honesty, that he wasn't "just" telling me that, he was being rude and insulting in the process. I'm not even remotely poor, so was floored, and at first all I could think to say was, "you don't want my money?" He then says, I'm just telling you that you have to be gone in 7 days. Further, if I need a place to stay I should check with the county Care & Share or govt agencies. He follows that up by saying that he's not running a homeless shelter and that someone from Cedar City has no business renting a room there. He then tells me I can only stay 7 days and no longer. Returning from dinner and entering my floor, a guy in an old t-shirt (the manager) asks if I'm in room _. I checked into Motel 6 in my hometown for a 7-day break from my mentally ill son (my presence was triggering), so I'm already in rough shape. Should you have to deal with the manager, however, all bets are off. The front desk people are helpful and professional. Oh and the vending machine did not take bills only coins, and again nobody to get coins!! Overall the entire place is extremely dated, gross, overpriced and will never ever stay again!… The soda machine was out of order, I get that can happen but when you've busy all day, go to room and it's only 10pm you want a drink and nobody at the desk to buy an overpriced soda that is staring at you in a padlocked cooler it's fairly upsetting. No shampoo, no hair dryer, no anything, but 1 tiny little bar of soap, one!! The faucet did not work but a trickle and you had to touch the sink walls to use it. The bed was absolutely horrendous, felt every single spring the pillows were like "what pillows", the shower had prior guest hair on the walls. ![]() We had no choice but to stay, we were in town for limited time, business really. Opened the door to room and it was extremely, utterly disgusting and disappointing. Once we exited the elevator the carpet is red, dated, and obviously older than I am. We got in the elevator and it smelled strange, and foul.
